Venice 7-9 June

3 days in Venice in search for ideas and impressions. Since my birthday is on June 9 I wanted to do something special and my first impulse was to book an inspiration trip to Venice. There is something with the colour palette and the details in Venice. The narrow streets, some very crowded and some entirely empty with just the sound of a tv in the background and the scent coming from someone cooking.

My main focus was not really to visit the biennale but I happily ended up seeing various exhibitions in the city. The first one was by a photographer from New Zealand. The second pavilion by Ethiopia, in an absolutely stunning building. Then Wales, Zimbabwe, Nauru, Croatia, and Congo (the image comes from here). It was truly fascinating to see the influences from different countries, in combination and dialogue with these historical buildings.
